Luongod leads shutout poll and earns player of the week

Yeah, it has been a hell of a 3-game ride for the Canucks, with Luongo recording shutouts in every game. The team plays better in front of him more consistently right around the same time and bingo bango bongo. Luongo will attribute a lot of his success to his teammates in front of him, but let's be honest here, Louie has made countless great saves during his streak.
Now, it appears everyone is hopping onto the Luongod wagon. The following poll is from NHL.com.

To top it off, 3 goalies were named the top 3 stars of the week. Luongo was on top, with the Jackets' Steve Mason and Capitals' Brent Johnston trailing.
Ah, times are good indeed.

Swedish Sundin poll has Mats returning to Leafs....BAH!!!

As reported by CBC, Swedish papre Aftonbladet has a poll up below any mats Sundin articles asking what the bald wonder is going to do. Over 32,000 votes have been cast.

Where believes you Mats Sundin plays this autumn?

Toronto (37.3%)
Montreal (5.7%)
New york Rangers (27.0%)
Other (10.5%)
Retires (19.5%)

It must be something in the food they eat or the water they drink. Do you see the Rangers clearing cap space to sign this guy? Nope. And why would Sundin go back to a rebuilding Leafs team besides out of honor. I'm sure he wants to win.
Funny how the Canucks aren't even on the list. Regardless, only 10% voted "other".

Canucks jersey poll

I am suprised that so many people prefer to see Johnny Canuck on the new Canucks jersey. I thought the Stick in Rink would win by a landslide.
I voted for the Orca. I like the concept of it. The whale just needs to look meaner, as I've said before.

I am not so sure about the classic Johnny logo that Luongo has on his light brown mask. Johnny looks too jolly there, and not very intimidating. Intimidation. That is why the Sharks logo has always been my favorite. A revamped Johnny Canuck, still in his lumberjack theme, (not the superhero theme) that has an ax in one hand and a beer in the other, looking angrily drunk would suffice! Haha
I'm actually bothered that the red in the current jersey is being nixed. I liked the red trim.
On a separate note, for you, as a fan, doesn't it anger you at all that a new jersey is being released? Hell, you spend over $100 on a plain jersey and $200 for a personalized jersey (after taxes) and then they go and change the style on you. Is it worth it to even buy a jersey if you are not a collector? It's expensive.
Myself, I won't do it. And I definitely won't get a personalized jersey with the way players get exchanged nowadays.
I suppose a Luongo jersey would be a safe bet, but then the style change.....

Hart Trophy Poll

That's it. I'm pulling this poll off the sidebar. It appears that 48% of you are:

-Homers
-Out of touch with reality
-Drunk
-Not watching Eastern Conference Games
-Paying attention to John Garrett too much

Hey, I hate Crosby and hate to defend him on most occasions. But when it comes to the Hart Trophy, I think Crosby has it locked up. And that is just my opinion.
Contrary to what most Nuck fans may think, I would not say Luongo is more valuable to the Canucks than Crosby is to the success of the Penguins. Luongo has been great, yes, but the team has been generally superb in front of him. They aren't calling us the New Jersey Devils of the West for nothing!
If anything, Alain Vigneault should win the Jack Adams Award as coach of the year, and perhaps Luongo should win the Vezina.
It's just my opinion. You can butcher me in the comments section all you want. But I stand by my opinion unless someone can prove me wrong.
