Bertuzzi-Moore saga takes a bullshit turn-of-events

A statement of claim filed in Ontario court by Moore's lawyer and obtained by CBC alleges that then Canucks coach Marc Crawford pointed to Moore's name and number on a board in the Canucks dressing room during the second intermission of that game and said ". . . (Moore) must pay the price."

Well, this is what happens when you get fucking lawyers involved in hockey. They disect the hell out of everything. In this case, it's pathetic. It DOESN'T MATTER if Crawford said that or not. It doesn't mean Crawford meant for someone to break Moore's neck. "Pay the price" can mean a lot of different things, like: drop the gloves with him, open ice hit him, or slam him into the boards with a massive check, all legally of course.
Crawford cannot be held accountable for Moore's pain in the neck. Only Bertuzzi can. Coaches have every right to single out an opposing player and have their own guys rough that player up. Especially if the bastard cheap-shotted your star player. That's the game of hockey.
All this Crawford talk now is a waste of time. Bertuzzi acted out of his own personal problems with anger issues, and Crawford should not be held accountable for that.
And that is the jist of what Crawford will say. You watch. Don't read any further into these new found allegations. They are pathetic....and lawyer bullshit tactics.

Bertuzzi Watch 6

Notice Bert's ice time from last night's game against Chicago? Nah, it wasn't because he was benched because of his inability to play well at both ends of the ice. Rather, he sprained his neck in the 1st period and did not return.

**UPDATE**
My sources tell me that the neck injury occurred when coach Babcock slapped him in the face because Bert wasn't playing well enough at both ends of the ice... Go figure.

As for the Wings' loss to lowly Chicago last night, all I can say is...WAHAHAHAHAAA!

Bertuzzi Watch 5

Back-to-back wins against Columbus? Ooo. I guess you Red Wings think you're pretty damned special, huh?
The Red Wings now finish off their season with back-to-back games against the Black Hawks. Geez, it must be so tough playing in the Central Division.
Let's see how Detroit fares against the Flames in round 1.

Bertuzzi Watch

Yeah, it's still early to start heckling Bert. But you have to wonder sometimes: was it a mistake for the Wings to acquire a guy who had hardly played all year this close to the playoffs? When is Bertuzzi going to hit his stride? Will it be too late? Let's hear some of your predictions for the Wings in the playoffs this season. I say they don't make it out of round 1.

Bertuzzi Watch

Hey Bert! You can put up points all you want. But if the team isn't winning then it won't really matter!
The Wings are experiencing a bit more adversity, as Niklas Kronwall will be out 6-8 weeks after breaking his sacrum in last night's game against the Stars. The sacrum is a triangular bone located near the end of the spine. That basically means that Kronwall will be joining the Wings on the golf course in 8 weeks, as the Wings should be out of the playoffs by then. :)

Bertuzzi Watch

It took Bertuzzi only 4 games to put points on the board for the Detroit Dead Things. Last night he assisted on both Wings goals in a 2-1 win over Nashville.
Where will Bert play when Henrik Zetterberg returns? Will Mike Babcock play Bert with Zetterberg and Datsyuk, or will he spread out the talent over 2 lines?
Is this the beginning of an offensive explosion by Bertuzzi?
I hope not. Die Wings die!!

Bertuzzi Watch 2

Red Wings record with Bertuzzi in the lineup: 0 wins and 2 losses.

The Wings lost in OT to the Blues this afternoon, 3-2. It's going to take Bert a while to adjust to his new team, but in the meantime I am laughing at every loss!

Henrik Zetterberg should return next week sometime, which could change the Wings' losing ways.

Bertuzzi Watch

More like futility watch! I have never hid the fact that I hate the Red Wings. And my hatred for Bertuzzi rivals that (as a player, not a person). So I am loving the fact that the Red Wings lost their first game with Bertuzzi in the lineup last night to the lowly Blue Jackets.
What I am hoping is that Bertuzzi will be a disease in the Wings' dressing room, and that the Wings flounder in the first round of the playoffs. In fact I predict that will happen..haha! So from now until the end of the season I will post a picture of Big Bertrude with his hopefully dismal stats after every Red Wing game until they are out of the playoffs to celebrate their ruin!

Bertuzzi may return sooner than expected

According to the Palm Beach Post, Todd Bertuzzi may return to the Panthers' lineup as early as this week. Big Bert played physical hockey in practice on Friday and woke up Saturday morning pain-free, the Post claims.

"It wasn't that stiff," he said. "It's getting better and I'll be back soon."

According to the Post, Bertuzzi had talked to buddy Ed Jovanovski and said that he could return to action on Saturday when the Panthers play the Coyotes.
So you know what this means: The Panthers are going to go on a tear and make the playoffs this year! :) Then all of you nay-sayers will realize that I was right!
All kidding aside, Bertuzzi's return should spark the Panthers, who, after losing 7-0 to the Kings last night, need a spark the size of an atomic bomb explosion right now!
