Canucks-Jackets quick preview

I'm still on vacation in the Lower Mainland. I fly home on Wednesday night. So that is a big reason why you aren't seeing as much content here.

Today I'll head over to the Silver Chalice in Hope to watch the game. I hear Darcy Hordichuk is out with a cracked or broken foot and that Mike Brown is in. All of these damned broken foot injuries! Maybe shot-blockers should wear that extra padding around their skates like Chris Pronger does. Just a thought.

I expect a Canucks win tonight. The Jackets have been so inconsistent, losing 3 of their last 5. However, they shutout Washington 3-0 in their last game. The Canucks are on cruise mode...the wrong kind of cruise mode....losing 2 straight. They know how good they are. They just need to draw motivation from deep within to get back on track. Maybe the sight of the Wild and Flames riding their butts in the standings will help.
I should also mention that the Jackets beat the Canucks 4-2 on October 21. Some punkass named Derek Dorsett scored the winner. In that game, Kyle Wellwood made his return to the lineup and scored his first goal and added an assist.

Look for more shots from the Canucks tonight and a better effort than that last effort against the Flames 2 nights ago. I don't care that they have lost 3 of their last 4 in Columbus. Watch for Jackets goalie to play Steve Mason instead of Pascal Leclaire, as he is red hot.
