Temujin Openly Weeps

Has anyone else seen the weekly poll on the Canucks.com website? I took a screen-cap and cropped it, in case they take it down. They really should take it down. If you are a Vancouver Canucks fan, this will probably make your heart sink even further.

I think this is the part where I sigh. Who the hell at Canucks.com comes up with this stuff? If it wasn't so sad, I'd be laughing my ass off. Like the fans of other teams in the NW division are laughing. At us.

Sorry to bump your post down, bud, but I couldn't just let this one go.

INSTANT UPDATE: So yeah, uhhh, 1400 of the Canucks faithful have actually voted in this poll. Who is in the lead, you ask?

It's all so wonderful. Really.

Oh god... that poll really puts it into perspective....I'd vote for Ryan Johnson reluctantly!

Perspective indeed. :-(

So what does our starting line-up look like?

Pyatt-Sedin-Sedin
Burrows-Kesler-Wellwood
Pettinger-Shannon-Raymond
Hordichuk-Johnson-Cowan
Jaffray/Hansen

Oh man, that sure stings. Thank God we've still got some depth at D.

Mitchell-Salo
Ohlund-Krajicek
Bieksa-Edler
Baumgartner/Coloumbe

Someone stop the bleeding.

Well, Kesler and Burrows are going to get a BIG chance to shine this year. And maybe they will. Isn't Kesler in the final year of his contract? I bet he scores 30 goals.

I love that Wellwood isn't even an option in that survey. Don't even call it on a technicality either: no one likes chubby soccer Leaf castaways. Except us because he has no choice but to come here.

Waivers = Vancouver's only option.

Ah Mike. You will love the Wellwood. He's way better than Morrison.

The only thing I like about him so far is that he's a Canuck somewhat by choice...I think. Can an RFA reject a qualifying offer? No right?

Either way, he's locked in. Someone go find Jan Bulis for our second line. That's right, I said it. Find the bald biker we need him!

I was talking to a friend of mine who is a Kings fan today about the gloom in Canuckistan and he said:

"It could be worse. Your goalie could still be Dan Cloutier".

Should be a 'None of the Above' choice, doncha think?

I'm sick to my stomach looking at those names...

Mike: Speaking of Jan Bulis, you will admire my post for tomorrow. Not Bulay Bulis!!!

Kevinv: I get the feeling that the Kings may try get Khabibulin. It would make sense.
