Leafs to buy out Darcy Tucker

"It is what it is," Carlos Sosa, Tucker's agent, told the Canadian Press.
"We have been ready for this for a while. It is a business."
Apparently, Tucker refused to be put on waivers, like his former teamates Andrew Raycroft and Kyle Wellwood were today.
Tucker still has 3 years and $9 million worth of salary left. The Leafs would be on the hook for, as CBC Sports puts it: two-thirds, or $6 million US, over the next six years.
Tucker can be a gongshow with his undisciplined behaviour at times. He's easy to get rattled on most nights. But the 33 year-old has plenty of scoring and grit left in his tank. He'd be a great addition to any team, even at $3 million per season.
