Canucks by the numbers

2- kicks in the ass for Luongo for giving me extra grey hairs during last night's shootout win. 1 for each stupid goal he let in.

4- games the Canucks play against the Pacific Division for the remainder of January (Sharks, Coyotes, Kings, Stars)

4- games the Canucks play against the Central Division for the remainder of January (Wings, Jackets, and the Blues times two)

1- game against a team in our division (Wild)

18- Alex Edler is a +18 this season, leading the Canucks and tying him for 5th in the NHL behind guys like Lidstrom, Heatley, Spezza, Datsyuk and Corvo.

6- Hank Sedin is ranked 6th in the NHL with 35 assists. That is only 6 behind Sid the Kid. That's right...Crosby ain't that good.

9- Dan Sedin is ranked 9th in the NHL with 9 powerplay goals. Ovechkin leads the League with 13.

23:06- That is how much ice time Sami Salo averages per game, leading the Canucks. Amazingly that ranks way down at 39th in the NHL for ice time, as Chris Pronger leads the League with 27:42 minutes per game.
Ohlund is 40th in the NHL with 23:00 averaged ice time per game.

120- That's how many shots Markus Naslund has taken this season, ranking him 1st on the Canucks and 44th in the NHL.

53.3- That is Ryan Kesler's faceoff winning percentage, ranking him 1st on the Canucks and 24th in the NHL. Amazingly, Yannic Perrault is not in the top 30 this year.

2- games in hand that we have over the Flames who are breathing down our necks, trailing by only 1 point.

5- points that separate us from the Avalanche in 9th spot in the West.

10- points that separate us from the filthy Oilers, who are in 14th spot near the Western Basement, where they deserve to be.
