Late signings by Pittsburgh and possibly Edmonton reported

The Oilers have reportedly signed or nearly signed Michael Nylander. That is lousy.

The Penguins have made 2 additions, signing Darryl Sydor to a 2-year $5 million contract and Petr Sykora to a 2 year contract. While Sykora may find new life in Pittsburgh, I like the addition of the veteran Sydor a lot better.

I think Nylander will be a repeat of Sykora in Edmonton. They'll probably put him with Hemsky and it will be a flop just like Sykora/Hemsky was. Poor Lowe, he just can't do anything right.

I think it's like TSN was saying yesterday: Edmonton is one of the least favorable places to play for an NHL player. Not sure why. I think Edmonchuk is a a fun city.

Maybe Lowe is just an idiot.....

Nylander is also reported being pursued by the Capitals, which would be a better fit as a center for Ovechkin.

Edmonton sucks! Of course Im a bit biased. But, when you compare Edmonton to other NHL cities, it is the worst one IMO. Toronto is a close 2nd :-P
