Canucks sign 2 more

Alannah is way ahead of the game of course...

Dave Nonis announced today that the Canucks have also signed free agents Greg Classen and Brad Moran.

The 6'1" 190-pound Greg Classen has played in 90 NHL games with the Nashville Predators, scoring 7 goals and 17 points. Classen is a 30 year-old center who has spent his NCAA and AHL career with the Milwaukee Admirals, winning a Calder Cup there in 2004. He has also played in Finland and Germany briefly.
It seems that Nonis is going great lengths to save dollars on contracts. But he doesn't have much room to spend. Hopefully he gets some of the some positive results from his thrifty signings.

Greg Classen stats.

The re-signing of Brad Moran is a good thing. I just wonder how much more Vigneault is going to use him in the coming season. With the Moose last season, Moran scored 25 goals and 72 points in 69 games. He had 11 points in 13 playoff games.
The knock on him used to be his size (5'11" 185 pounds), but in the new NHL he stands a chance.
The 28-year-old Moran is a gifted center. Another BC boy, born in Abbotsford B.C.
