Ducks sign Giguere

J.S. Giguere is not going anywhere after all. The Ducks have signed Giguere to a 4-year $24 million deal today.

"I'm very excited to be staying with the Ducks," said Giguere in a statement. "Orange County has been a great place for my family over the last six years, and we are grateful to the entire organization for the opportunity to stay here."

The Ducks continue to have a two-tier system in goal with 2 great goaltenders in Giguere and Ilya Bryzgalov. Bryzgalov still has 1 year remaining in his contract, at $1,181,250 per season. This now means that it is 'Breezie' that is expendible. When will he be moved? Perhaps as early as this summer.
