Canucks sign Jaffray to a 2-year deal / Krajicek

The kids at the Canucks.com forum are saying that Team 1040 just reported that the Canucks have signed leading Manitoba Moose scorer Jason Jaffray to a 2-year, 2-way contract. Jaffray scored 35 goals and 81 points in 77 games for the Moose last season, 6th overall in the AHL. 16 of those goals were on the power play. He scored 13 points in 13 playoff games. The 6'1" 204 pound, 26-year-old will get a chance to stick with the big club this season. Hopefully we'll see a Jordan Staal-type situation with Jaffray early next season.

The Canucks also gave Lukas Krajicek a qualifying offer today, Team 1040 reported.
