Canucks 3 Avalanche 0 / Cougars 4 Blazers 3

I didn't get to watch a lot of this game as we were at the Cougars game. We watched the Nucks in between plays on a TV in the suite we were in. (Yeah, it pays to have connections!)
It appears Alain Vigneault gets results when he's pissed off! The Canucks clinched a playoff spot and at the same time really ruined Colorado's chances for making the postseason. How things have changed! Now we spoil their chances!
Anyone want to comment on the game? Tell me what I missed? I see Vancouver took a lot of penalties.
As for the Cougars/Blazers game: it was awesome! The Cats erased a 3-2 deficit late in the 3rd and won it, taking a 3-0 series lead. I'll talk more about that tomorrow and post some pics.

You didn't miss much. It's much like the Chicago@Vancouver game last month, except it wasn't lazy hockey, but more of calculated defensive hockey.

2 empty net goals (Cooke and D. Sedin) and 1 goal on a 5-on-3 should give you an idea on how tight it was.

Junior hockey is the shit. I'm going to Calgary-Kootenay tonight and tomorrow, and it's going to be good. Looks like things got a bit testy last game, so I'm hoping there's a bit of spillover to these two. Also, the Hitmen managed a split even though the Ice finished 19 points ahead, so that's something.

There wasn't any violence with PG/Kamloops. Some good hits though. Great puck movement. NO OBSTRUCTION
