Someone else recently posted a brawl from about a decade earlier, in which Habs players wound up going after Boston fans and police as matters migrated from centre ice to the Habs bench. What was it about the old days that caused this to happen, and what is it that's keeping it from happening now? (Besides glass above the benches, I guess.)

The glass height changed it for the most part.
Fear of being sued? Legal consequence? Less booze at games?
Heightened security?
