Around the NHL

BRUINS
Boston hockey fans are lamenting another year without a postseason for the Bruins. Stephen Harris from the Boston Herald is especially concerned with rookie GM Peter Chiarelli's decisions to move Brad Boyes and Milan Jurcina at the deadline, as both players are flourishing in St. Louis and Washington respectively.

SABRES
Jason Pominville has joined the 30 goal club this season, and really has not looked back since his series clinching goal (clip)against the Senators in last year's playoffs.

FLAMES
Colorado's streak is worrying people in Calgary. Love it!

HURRICANES
Cam Ward should be back later this week.

BLACK HAWKS
Denis Savard wants Hawk teammates to challenge eachother more. He uses a great story about himself and Steve Larmer as an example.

AVALANCHE
I still don't believe it, but the Avs are only 4 points out of 8th spot, and are for 'real.'

STARS
Stars' President makes a good point by saying that Nashville has 'failed hockey' because they did not mention Mike Modano's accomplishment (surpassing Joe Mullen) over the PA during the game on Saturday night when it occurred.

OILERS
Give us back our losing streak??? HAHAHAHAHA

KELLY HRUDEY writes a piece about composure for the Calgary Herald.

PREDATORS
The Predators stand behind Tootoo, calling it self-defence. Personally, I kind of liked it. It's old school hockey! Just because Robidas gets wheeled off on a stretcher doesn't play with my emotions at all. It actually adds to the entertainment value! Alas, Tootoo could be suspended, and the game gets wimpier by the fucking minute.

***UPDATE: Tootoo was handed a 5-game suspension today**** Bah!

DEVILS
The Continental Curse?

RANGERS
Shanahan is pressing hard for a return, but won't be rushed back into the fray.

As for The Bruins comments by Stephen Harris of "The Herald" put as much stock into what he says as you would Eklund! I am not saying The Bruins haven't been frustrating me this season but this bozo reporter is always negative and looks for controversy in all his articles - controversy sells papers! I refuse to read his articles as his opinions are fabricated to create anomosity in lesser knowledgable fans!

Also they can still (and I predict will) make the post season!

Wow, you are optimistic! 6 points out and they look too inconsistent!
I agree with Harris' comments on Brad Boyes. I was appalled when Chiarelli traded Boyes for Wideman. I don't see why he sees so much in Wideman I suppose.
Was Lewis under-utilizing Boyes?

Point taken though, Jimbuff.
