Canucks 3 Kings 2

This was another terrific game to watch, even though if you were a Canuck fan, you would think that for the majority of this game, the Canucks were going to lose. The Kings had alot of jump tonight, which was expected. The Canucks looked a step behind for the majority of tonight's game. But at the end of the night, the Canucks killed 7 of 8 penalties and Luongod, even after letting in the first goal (questionable), was solid tonight, giving the Canucks a chance to take this one.
But it really could have gone either way.
-We barely managed to contain Anze Kopitar, who had one assist and was all over the ice tonight.
-King's goalie Matthieu Garon was good, but not Sean Burke-like. Luongo was better.
-The Kings outshot the Canucks again: 33-30.
-The Sedins looked invisible for the most part, scoring zero points and were a -1.
-Trevor Linden kicked his leg out a la Sidney Crosby and bagged a beauty wrist shot over Garon for the Canucks' 2nd goal.
-Kevin Bieksa continued his push for a Norris Trophy somewhere down the road with the winning goal and an assist.

My 3 stars:
1. Kevin Bieksa
2. Lubomir Visnovsky. The tying goal and a great game. Gad I like this guy.
3. Roberto Luongod. He only allowed 2 as he had proclaimed to me prior to the game. Luongod was solid again.

BOX SCORE

Yadda yadda. The Canucks won a game that they needed to win, but most of the talk tonight will be about the Sabres and Sens brawl.

Here is what the coaches said post game. (vid)

Great game - i had my doubts that the Nucks would emerge triumphant though. I'm so glad Bieksa, and the Canucks proved me wrong !!

I thought the first goal was kinda shaky as well, but who cares when we win :D

Now - Dallas is up next !! Lets hope they win that one !
