Canucks vs Avalanche Preview

The Canucks are going to be in tough when they play the Avs in Denver tonight. The Avs have won 3 of their last 4, the last win coming in a shootout against Anaheim on Wednesday. The Canucks got their pants pulled down by the Predators on Thursday, 6-0. The Avalanche have won both meetings this season against Vancouver.
But enough with the stats for now. This game should be a beauty.
-Both teams are fast, with Colorado holding the edge.
-The Canucks will have to deal with Jose Theodore in net this time instead of a red hot Peter Budaj.
-Roberto Luongo will start for the Nucks and should avoid any early game blunders that would put the Canucks out of it prematurely.
-The Canucks play better in front of Luongo, not Sabourin, which isn't very nice of them now, is it?
-The 6-0 blowout loss to Nashville was a 'glitch.' Vigneault will have them play tighter defence in this one and rectify last game's problem.
-This game is important. If the Flames beat the Kings tonight, and the Avalanche beat the Canucks, Vancouver will drop to 10th spot in the West. We don't want that now do we?
-I predict a tough, 4-3 win by the Canucks, even though they don't have Daniel Sedin, who is still out with an abdominal injury.

Game time: 7:00 pm PST on CBC.

Get Viggy with it!
