Which coach will be fired first?

There are some disappointing starts by teams, some suprising, others not. In most cases, the coach gets fired first. Even though it is early, who do you think will be the first coach to lose his job this season?

  1. Dave Lewis - Bruins
  2. Ken Hitchcock- Flyers
  3. Larry Playfair - Flames
  4. Wayne Gretzky - Coyotes
  5. John Torterella - Lightning
  6. Bryan Murray - Senators
  7. Glen Hanlon - Capitals
  8. Some other poor sack

In 1-2-3 order, Bryan Murray before December 1st, Mike Kitchen (Merry Christmas), and Larry Playfair at the first extended Flames losing streak of the New Year.

Coaches replacing them, again in the same order, will be: Pat Quinn, Dave King, and Darryl Sutter.

Don't forget Tortorella. He sold his goalie out last playoffs, and when results don't improve under Denis (and he realizes that defensemen matter in save percentage also), he could be out, Cup memories and all.

Can I change my answer to Hitchcock? The Flyers lost to the Lightning tonight
