NIITTYMAKI MAY MISS 2 MONTHS BECAUSE OF HIP

Wow, Robert Esche's pool value just skyrocketed. Antero Niittymaki tore the labrum in his hip during practice this morning. Now, I am not a doctor, but the labrum is a ring of fibrous cartilage around the edge of the 'joint' surface of a bone, (thanks google.) I'm sure he felt pain and a burning sensation!(heheh)
The Flyers goaltender may miss 6-8 weeks if surgery is required. The Flyers have called up goalie Martin Houle from the AHL Philly Phantoms as a replacement. Last season with the phantoms, Houle played 40 games, had 18 wins, 18 losses, 2 shutouts, a 2.54 GAA, and a .914 save percentage.
