DOMI TO CALL IT QUITS

TSN.ca reports that Tie Domi will officially announce his retirement today in a scheduled news conference. Plans to learn to read and be nicer to animals are high on Domi's list of things to do in his retirement.

Well, you did put a book in his hand, I would call that doctoring.

Not only is he retiring, he's joining TSN, which instantly makes Glenn Healy expendable (thank God).

Too bad he cannot join the CBC and make Kelly Hrudey expendable.

Hard to imagine there was no market for Domi. He must not have been willing to accept a large cut in pay.

No, Jin, he refused to play anywhere but Toronto. True story. Very Linden like (just has better hands!)

Ahhhhhhh. That explains why he is retiring.

Better hands for fighting? Yeah man, I totally agree. Linden was never much of a fighter. :-)

Linden's 15 goals and 30 assists will be forty-five more points than Domi gets this year. Perhaps Domi's appendages are better served receiving "hand-outs" anyways!

Not if you watched him play last season.

His agent did contact several teams including Montreal, Pittsburgh and Detroit. Domi's list only included less than a half dozen teams.

Good luck to him on TSN, a perfect fit many will enjoy. Kudos, Tie for going out with class!
