SIGNINGS

**The Ottawa Senators have signed Dean McAmmond to a 1-year deal today. The travelling McAmmond played for the Blues last season where he recorded 37 points in 78 games. McAmmond's career points per game average is .500, but is slowing in recent years.
This is a decent pick for Ottawa, as McAmmond adds size, grit, and perhaps a 20-goal season. The left winger could see time on the second line, but probably will be more suited on the third line.**

**The Rangers have signed defenceman Fedor Tyutin today. Tyutin improved from his rookie season, and should get even better still. The Rangers had also signed D Michal Roszival yesterday to a 2-year $4.2 million deal.**

**Flyer's GM Bobby Clarke is confident they will sign Simon Gagne...yeah right..signed and then traded maybe! Gagne could sit out the season as well. Apparently, Gagne wants a long-term contract at about $5 million per season. This is all fine and dandy.. if Keith Primeau retires, then his $3 million-plus contract won't count against the Flyer's cap.**
