SABRES WALK AWAY FROM DUMONT

JP Dumont was awarded a 1-year $2.9 million salary through arbitration on July 31st and the Sabres have decided to cut him loose. Dumont immediately becomes an unrestricted free agent. I am a little suprised by this as I was hoping the Sabres would keep the whole team intact. Obviously they have their minds set on someone else.

I wonder what Capt. Morgan has to say about this.

God help us if Florida signs Dumont.

Please welcome to Waiting for Stanley, your new blogger, Capt. Morgan.

Yeah, they have their minds on someone else, Ryan Miller.

He'll be posting a Google Earth image of potential Stanley Cup Parade routes in Sunrise, Fla.

And Ottawa will no longer be first in the east.

Yeah, I got a crummy desk job. Doesn't mean I work a lot, though.

It just means I don't turn on Ads on BoC or whatever people do to make money blogging.

Oh yeah, it also means I use the pen name Earl Sleek, but that probably continues even if I get fired tomorrow.

Legace got a job too! Doesn't mean he'll work a lot either.

Oh, it's in St. Louis? He'll be working his ass off.

Burnt weiner, not good not good!
Oh Gad, Legace better take up drinking soon!

Yeah I have a desk job as well, but when times are tough there is no time in the office for me! I go onto the main floor at our mill to work things out!

Reality Check - Jose Theodore likes Jack Daniels and Paris Hilton more than Capt. Morgans. Reason enough to get him out of Colorado.

Zans - I'm an advocate of not paying a goalie too much, not because they aren't worth it, but it alwasy seems to F with their heads. 3 mil sounds solid, maybe for 3-4 years. He is a good goalie (look at his AHL record). I think he'll stay good, too.

Yeah it takes a pretty special goalie to not let 5 million get to his head! (Brodeur/Belfour)
I could see negotiating goalie contracts with incentives....hmmm

Everyone talks about how the goalies get screwed in the money dept. I don't see that, I just see to many pull a Turco, Khabby, Nabokov, Giguere, etc. That's a long list.

Throw in some Capt. Morgans incentives, you may have something.
