MALKIN'S NOT COMING...YET / MORE SIGNINGS

**Penguins prospect Evgeni Malkin has signed a 1-year contract with Magnitogorsk and will likely play in Russia this coming season. After this year he will become a free agent, and the Penguins can hopefully sign him. I'm impatient! I want to see this guy play in the league right now! There are still negotiations taking place but don't hold your breath.**

**Coyotes' F Ladislav Nagy has been rewarded a 1-year $3 million deal through arbitration. Apparently the Coyotes have already accepted it. The Hab-like Nagy (meaning oft-injured) had 56 points in 51 games last season. **

**The Bruins have signed D Nathan Dempsey away from the Kings, and have also resigned D Milan Jurcina. I haven't followed Jurcina much, but I know Dempsey is a solid 4th or 5th defenceman. Odds are Brian Leetch will not be returning to the Bruins.**

**Sabres C Adam Mair has been awarded a 1-year $675,000 deal through arbitration.**

So much for the Penguins improving this year :(

You forgot to call Nathan Dempsey a 12-year veteran, like TSN did.

What is up with that? Are they just assuming Boston fans are uninformed?

I don't think so. They tend to be as equally informative with every signing. I was actually suprised that Dempsey has been around that long.
Ah, another Leaf outcast..

Well, I kind of meant that I'd hope when the Ducks announce a 12-year veteran, they are talking about 12 years in the NHL.

This one's not even close.
