DOMI OUT IN THE COLD FOR GOOD??

With Tie Domi given his walking papers from the Maple Leafs, and no apparent interest from anyone, can one of the leagues' most colorful characters find a home in the new NHL??

Drafted 27th overall in 1988, Domi has become the all time penalty leader for the Leafs and third overall in NHL history. With him only getting 109 penalty minutes last year, it may have been a sign he couldn't be effective any longer for what he was being paid. Too bad, he was one of the only Leafs I ever liked..... besides Tiger Williams of course.

According to Wikipedia, Domi played two preseason games for the Toronto Argo's as a placekicker at some point. For some reason I just don't see Tie as a placekicker in the CFL.

As a side note: Domi had the same amount of points as Trevor Linden last season.

Same amount of points as Linden? LOL! But does he have Linden's leadership abilities?
I think Domi would be a good fit for the Canucks in a way, as long as he's ultra cheap, and Nonis is thrift store shopping. Then again, the last thing the Nucks need is another bonehead on their team who takes bad penalties at bad times. They just got rid of two of them.

Honestly, if we didn't already have Fedoruk wearing the pants in Anaheim, I'd take Domi on our squad.

Sure he can't fight any more, but that's in decline any way, and he can still play a decent checking role.

As for Domi-Niedermayer, well, that would be another wrinkle to go along with Selanne-Pronger.

We love controversy in the OC.

You can't check what you can't catch.

Domi should go to Pittsburgh, and protect Crosby. Nobody would pick on Crosby, because they wouldn't want to be embarassed by Domi having to haul himself over the board.

So precious when they tumble like that, right, ES

I'm thinking pro wrestling might be the ticket. Didn't Tiger try the wrestling thing???

If Tie Domi made a buddy-movie with Pat Quinn in it, I would pay NHL prices to see it.

If Domi made a buddy movie, it would be Weekend at Domi's.
