I assume the NHL still honors the signed deals these players have with their respective clubs, even though an agreement with the governing body is not in place. Simply put - it is do-able but tricky. The team holding Malkin's right will want mucho dollars for his release. According to today's Ottawa Sun, the Sens face the same dilema with a player named Alexei Kangaroodov (or something close to that). It was said that this player would attempt to negotiate his own release and that Malkin was in the same boat. Sorry, the name just came to me - Kaigorodov. There, I was close!Robert Lhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16631806704699552307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31097487.post-1154636430497260552006-08-03T13:20:00.000-07:002006-08-03T13:20:00.000-07:00Malkin's agent is going to use a provision in Russ...Malkin's agent is going to use a provision in Russia's labor law to free Malkin. I don't fully understand how that works, but odds are, he could play here.Sean Zandberghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16367951232268606248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31097487.post-1154635687110709142006-08-03T13:08:00.000-07:002006-08-03T13:08:00.000-07:00no he's notno he's notAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
