I'm back in Smithers and back in the saddle, baby!
Ever been drunk in a field of canola? It's quite something, you know. Helped to deaden the pain of hearing Mark Cullen will be our second line go-to guy.
If Demitra does sign here, I'm going to personally send the Canucks a First Aid kit.
Maybe Kesler, Bieksa, Salo and Demitra can form the "Injury Line"
I know Luongo is god and all that, but I'm getting pretty tired of everyone in Canuck land treating this guy with kid gloves.
Did you see that shit in the paper about Luongo saying that he was "pretty pissed" all season but now he's cooling off?
And then yet more about his baby and his wife.
Is this guy a professional athlete? Isn't he paid millions to play?
I don't get it. But, I've never understood designed a team around a goalie anyway. To my mind, while a bad one can sink you, a good one can't make you win.
Oh, he'll steal a game here and there, but at the end of the day a great goalie does not win hockey games.
It's from Tuesday's Vancouver Son, in a story by Eliot Pap.
Meanwhile, Roberto Luongo's agent said the uber goalie is in a good frame of mind preparing for the coming season. Gilles Lupien last spoke to Luongo on Friday.
"I said 'how are you and blah, blah, blah' and he told me 'I was pissed off during the season but now I'm cooled down and I'm happy and I want to go out and play,'" Lupien said. "Roberto is a nice kid. Sometimes he gets frustrated and all that because he wants to win.
"The people in Vancouver don't have to wonder," added Lupien. "For Roberto, it's another season and let's go for it. He's happy, he has his daughter, he's coming to Montreal in three weeks to show everyone his daughter and, after that, he's going back to Vancouver."

Why hasn't he signed yet?
Did Gilles forget to leave the welcome mats in front of his door?

Does this behvior strike anyone else as odd?
Not really. It makes me feel a bit at ease actually. But you know he has to be thinking: "Can we please get more offence?"
Never mind that shit, we just signed Dimetra!
