Nonis calms the storm

Vancouver Canucks general manager Dave Nonis has a message for all of his preying colleagues: the Canucks will not be making a trade through desperation.

Nonis insists his search for a forward will continue despite this recent rash of injuries, but cautions all who call, he's not looking for any favours, only a deal that will help the Canucks long-term.

Luc Bourdon has been recalled from the Manitoba Moose.
