WFS Plans / My Fave Duck Cup Images

Yahoo Sports (Getty Images) posted so many great hockey images this year and the 2 below are no exception. I thank them for it as I 'borrowed' so many of those images all year. Nice work.

Thank you to all of the readers who have stopped by since this sites' birth in July 2006. It has been a great season with so much enjoyable moments. There is always a lot of hockey to talk about and I have enjoyed sharing conversations with all of you.

As for this site, I will keep it going especially with the NHL Draft and July 1 coming up soon. There will be a lot of transactions from this point on.

Besides Selanne hoisting the Cup, the Niedermayer images are my favorites too.

It was a good season - I'm already going through withdrawal (sp)...

Selanne and Giguère lifting it is pretty cool.

That picture of Burke makes me sick.

The frustrations, wailing, and gnashing of teeth amongst the Oiler blogosphere bring me a great deal of delight.

A great deal indeed.

I don't like Burke for a number of reasons. I think he's insufferable.

Most of it has to do with his views on what a "clean" hit is. I thought he made the climate ripe for the Bertuzzi incident a few years back, and teams under his direction, while very good, always seem to have players getting sespended for dirty play. (Bertuzzi, May).

While I know we disagree as to what players should do, I think people in a psoition of leadership. I don't mind fighting, but Burke seems to endorse dirty play and cheap shots. I find this all the more frustrating because he used to be the Czar of discipline.

Ah, he's somewhat hypocritical, huh. Thanks for the explanation.

I'm not going to blame him for having spazzes like Bert and May on his teams... but I do find myself both agreeing and disagreeing on some of his thoughts on suspensions. I agreed with his Pronger analysis.
