Josh Green out for 4-6 weeks
From Canucks and Beyond:
Green suffered a second-degree right knee sprain while the Coyotes lost winger Owen Nolan to a second-period shoulder injury.Well this is unfortunate. Green has been perhaps the Canucks' most consistent gritty player. Green plays hard nonstop, something the team has not been doing much of lately. So I guess the question now is: Who is going to replace Green? Please tell me it's not Tommi Santala!
“He [Ballard] kind of submarined me a bit and it was kind of a dangerous play and nothing good can come out of that,” said Green, who will be sidelined four to six weeks.
If Vigneault has abandoned hopes of centers Brad Moran and Brandon Reid cracking the Canucks' lineup again this season, perhaps we can get a look at Jason Jaffray, a 25 year-old winger who's leading the team in scoring.
Maybe Lee Goren deserves another crack at the team. His point-a-game stats are impressive as well.
Just not Santala!~ Don't do it, Vigneault!
We'll find out tomorrow!
(Stats are from the Moose Official Site.)

its probably santala!
why not genoway? his +24 really sticks out; and yes i know that +/- doesn't always amount to much, but when the next best is only +7...
although he was traded to them wasn't he, so maybe it came from before...
I'm wondering about that. How could he be +24 on the Moose? The differential is too much.
Sure! I'm in. Send in the Genoway!
Don't get your hopes up. I don't know what Vigneault sees in Santala. Maybe it's just a $ thing, but somehow this ten-thumbed goober keeps getting stuffed into the line-up.
It's gonna be Santala. 100%.
"ten-thumbed goober"
Now THAT has to be the line of the year!
I think Viggy was benching Santala towards the end of Tommi's last game in Vancouver. So hopefully, he decides to give someone else a chance.
It's gonna be Santala, guys.
Part $, part Lee Goren isn't much better.
