Doan to remain a Dog

According to TSN:

Shane Doan has agreed to a five-year deal for a total of almost $23 million to remain with the organization. Doan, originally drafted 7th overall by the Winnipeg Jets in the 1995 Entry Draft remains the only active player on the Coyotes roster who transferred to Phoenix when the franchise relocated in 1996.

Not a bad price to pay for a team leader who now averages about 66 points per season.

Wow, very nice deal. I suppose he'll be there for the long haul now.

Guess we can scratch off those Doan to __________ rumors now.
