Crazy Canucks Podcast #21
I got to make a guest appearance on the Crazy Canucks Podcast last night. We talked about the Canucks' past 2 games against Atlanta and Chicago, trade possibilities, Canuck players' blogs, and more. It was a great time and great conversation. My thanks to John, Rebecca, Alanah, and JJ for letting me in on it. They are great people who made the experience as fun, intriguing, and relaxing as possible!

I liked your comments, and your input was bang-on. If Salo tests the free agency market, he'll go for WAY more than four million! Yeesh, using last year as an example, I don't think you'll find a bonafide NHL-caliber defencman (ie #3/4 d-man) signing for less than three million. Salo, when healthy, is most certainly a #2. I'm thinking $5 million at least :-( Not that he is really worth it, but that what his market value apparently is.
Hmmmm, Gary Roberts in a whale jersey. Geez... I'd cheer madly if it happened.
I wish the show would flow a little better. It seems like there are still the odd spots of awkwardness, and everyone seems to stutter/pause during their sentences. I know it's a "live" show and people don't have lines of dialog in front of them or anything, but that's something they should work on. At least from the standpoint of a listener. For everyone doing the show at the time it probably seems fine, but for the listener it can be a bit distracting.
Great job though, man. Rock on!
The moments of silence seem to be from people not wanting to cut eachother off. It seemed like 5 people, who can't see eachother, being polite rather than barge in the conversation. Just my opinion. You are right, being in the podcast, you don't really notice it.
But hey, John's working on it I bet.
Yeah, not much we can do - gotta remember we're not all in the same room. These are 4-5 people who are dozens and hundreds of miles apart, linked up over the internet. We're not face to face, there is lag and well, we're not professionals but we never claim to be. It's great fun and hopefully we can build on what we've got now :-)

Yeah, I recognize that. Don't take my comment as a knock against the show, it's just one aspect that, for the listener, is a bit distracting.
I'm not sure how it could be helped, so maybe I shouldn't offer critiques without having a potential solution :-0

I kinda wish I gave a rat's ass about the Canucks, though.
