Memo to Canucks about tonight

  • Don't give Jarome Iginla, Alex Tanguay, and Daymond Langkow any room. The Flames have played 5 games since December 1st, won 4 of them, and scored 17 goals in the process. So much for the goal-scoring drought in Calgary. One or all of the Iginla, Tanguay and Langkow combo have recorded a point in 13 of those 17 goals scored (76%). They have a combined 25 points in those 5 games. So, shut down those 3, and you'll win.
  • Keep up the energy from the last game you played against Phoenix, with all lines rolling, clicking, and skating hard.
  • Emphasis on the skating hard part. Last time you played the Flames, they out-worked you and you took 6 penalties in the 1st period, taking yourselves out of it early. The Flames scored 2 PP goals on those opportunities.
  • Bobby Lu, you got pulled after 29 minutes last time against the Flames when the score was 4-1. Please PLEASE play a solid 60 minutes, even if it wasn't all your fault.
