Canucks 6 Flameouts 5

In a game that meant 1st place in the Northwest Division the Canucks made it count and beat the Flames in overtime, despite the fact that they blew a 5-3 lead early in the 3rd period. They held on, and unfortunately gave the Flamers 1 point in OT, but really, fuck it. They got a flukey goal from Salo in OT, that banked off 2 Flame defenders and that was the difference. Really though, the Canucks have been waiting for this kind of break for quite a while. Good on them. They won a game that matters, and have taken over the Northwest Division, putting them in 3rd place in the Western Conference.
* Matt Cooke had 1 goal and 1 assist. Good job!
* Trevor Linden should take the "C" right about now. He is playing with heart once again, where Naslund wasn't really a factor. Is Naslund hurt? Something is wrong with him?
*Kipper wasn't that good on Cooke's goal, but even Luongo wasn't any better.

Zanstorm's 3 Stars:
1. Dan Sedin
2. Huselius
3. Linden

End of story. Screw TSN.

What? Dont like TSN? At least they show the game in HD. Looks great!

I just had a feeling the Flames were going to lose this one even when they came back 2 goals down twice. I dont know what the hell Kobasew was thinking on the OT goal sticking his stick out to deflect the shot. I think he's on his way out if he doesn't start producing.

Kipper sucked. That goal by Cooke. I mean, come on! Weak weak weak!

I guess the Flames will have to learn to shut down those Sedin sisters next game, then it'll be lights out for the nuckleheads!

Hey Matt. That was a drunken post! I should have clarified on the TSN comment. I didn't like their pick of the 3 stars, especially not Cooke as the first star.
We watched it in high def as well. Pretty sweet!

That is pretty much the key to beat the Nucks, yeah. Alot of team have been shutting down the Sedins already. Calgary are slow learners!
