Fantasy News for Monday

I don't mind giving out some pool tips. So here is the news on some key players you may or may not have in your pool, free of charge! :)

  • Coyote's forward Mike Comrie will miss about a month after fracturing his foot in the game versus the Ducks last Friday. Comrie is leading the Coyotes in scoring with 11 points in 13 games.
  • Did you scoop Predator Alexander Radulov when Josef Vasicek fell to injury a few weeks back? Well you may want to drop him, as he has been sent back down to their affiliate Milwaukee Admirals. I guess this means Vasicek is returning. Radulov didn't get alot of quality time on a scoring line, and finished with 2 points in 8 games for the Preds.
  • Leafs D Pavel Kubina thinks he is ready to play this coming Thursday against Boston. We'll see if the coaching/medical staff agrees. There really is not a hurry to rush Kubina back, given the Leafs' recent success.
  • Montreal's new super scorer Chris Higgins may miss a couple of games with an ankle sprain.
  • Just when Cap Richard Zednik gets rolling a bit, he injures his wrist. The team is denying that the wrist is broken, but his exact status is not yet known.
  • Bruins D Brad Stuart could be ready to play this Thursday against TO. He is recovering from a broken pinky finger.
  • Bruins coach Dave Lewis has recently put Zdeno Chara in front of the opposing team's goalie during powerplays, and put Paul Mara in Chara's spot. We could see Mara's point totals increase substantially with that concept. I remember when the Sens used to do that with Chara as well.
  • Not-so iron man Joe Nieuwendyk will return to the Panthers' lineup Wednesday against the Rangers. Joe is gold, when he plays.
  • We could see Sami Salo play by Thursday, after missing time with an ankle sprain.
  • Maxim Afinogenov may have a separated shoulder. If that is the case, he could miss 3 weeks or more.
  • Apparently, the Flyers are still courting Brian Leetch, as their powerplay is dreadful, and they don't have a bonafide quarterback on defence. Leetch would fit in just fine.

Those are some good tips, my friend! Do you really think Leetch can QB the Flyers defense at a reasonably high level? I'm not so sure, but then again I've never been a Leetch fan! :)

Hey, what happened to the chat box?

The chat box took too long to load, slowing the page down.
I'm trying to find another one that loads quicker.
Leetch still has wheels. If he does play again, you'll see!
