CHOUINARD OUT / SANTALA IN

"Stay down, Kesler, if you know what's good for you!"

With Marc Chouinard out for up to 2 weeks with a partially dislocated shoulder, we will see Tommi Santala take his place, according to Alain Vigneault. Chouinard suffered the injury sometime during the Canucks' final preseason game against the Oilers.
The Finnish Santala was drafted by the Thrashers 245th overall in the 1999 entry draft, and only played 33 games with Atlanta, tallying 4 points. He then played 2 seasons with the Chicago Wolves, where he had 85 points in 117 games. Last year he played in Helsinki, where he scored 32 points in 43 games.
