POOLIES BEWARE

Just a few player tidbits I found while poking around, getting ready for our draft tonight. I know, I'm a nice guy for doing this but felt a duty to pass on the information.

  • Joni Pitkanen had secret knee surgery in finland over the summer. It's apparently still sore and the Flyers staff are pissed for not having it done in the States.
  • Mike Van Ryan has some issues with recent wrist surgery and hasn't been cleared to play.
  • Jaromir Jagr has not been cleared to play by team Doctors (not sure why)
  • Paul Kariya in nursing a sore groin
  • Danny Briere left last nights game with an apparent hip pointer
  • Mathieu Schneider left practice with some sort of knee injury
  • Todd Bertuzzi suffered bruised ribs in last nights game ( also has hurt feelings from being booed every shift)
  • Mike Sillinger left his last practice with an upper thigh bruise (Cam Neeley style)
  • Eric Lindros will be out for the entire season after injuring his wrist signing autograghs (kidding)

Note* This is not intended in any way to influence draft selections, unlike the last minute rule changes, which are. Good luck.

Oh, and the Ducks got creamed by the Queens last night 7-1, might want to stay away from that train wreck in Anaheim.

Matt Cooke is saying that Nazzy and Mo want him on the first line. ;)

hey, hoops! Welcome!
Yeah they probably do want Cooke. Anyone remember how Cooke played with them last time? I don't. Is Cooke a good 'sleeper' pick? Hmmm....
I think the Nucks may play musical chairs for a while in October

I'm taking Teemu in the first round just so I can trade him to Sleek. You've sold yourself out, dude.

Sleek is going with the entire Ducks team, because he has total faith in XM Radio.

BTW: I have a smackboard up for tonight at my hockey travel page. A lot like what's going to happen opening night.
