MATT STAJAN AND TUOMO RUUTU SIGN
Hodge was saying today that I need to report more on the Leafs. I replied that there really wasn't any Leafs news lately, until now.
The Leafs have signed Matt Stajan to a 2-year $1.75 million contract,
where he will make $800,000 this season, and $950,000 next season.
The Leafs are now finished signing all their restricted free agents.
Stajan is an improving player. He had 15 goals and 12 assists in 80 games last season. He will definitely get even better this year in his offensive output.
But Stajan is also a very effective penalty killer. In fact, 26.9% of his points came while shorthanded last year, good for 2nd in the NHL.

The Black Hawks have signed Tuomo Ruutu to a 2-year deal worth $3.75 million. Ruutu has missed alot of time due to his back injury, but will really impress if he can stay healthy.
Last season he had 2 goals and 3 assists in 15 games.

You might mean 25.9% x 27 = 7 shorthanded points, or 29.6% x 27 = 8 shorthanded points.
But I don't think you mean 26.9% x 27 = 7.26 shorthanded points.

Sleek the auditor
I guess I should round it off without a decimal point, to keep the auditor off my back!! My auditor is very sarcastic! lol!
Hey, can you do my taxes this coming year?
Rule one for a hockey blogger = do your math. You don't have to be accurate on anything else really.
Actually, the stat was from The Score SportsForcaster..
Hey, can you do my taxes this coming year?
Sure, what's a GST, though?
RC, you crack me up!
