ACTION ON THE NHL FRONT

**The Black Hawks have acquired Michal Handzus from the Flyers in exchange for Kyle Calder. Handzus makes about $0.8 million less than Calder, who had just recieved a $2.9 million contract through arbitration. Handzus will center Martin Havlat on the top line in Chicago. TSN reports that the Flyers were looking for help on the wing if Primeau doesn't return.**

**The Coyotes have signed Mike Comrie to a 1-year $3 million contract, avoiding arbitration. Comrie had 30 goals and 30 assists in 80 games last season. Any bets on Comrie going out with an extended injury this season? I'll bet $100! Me no like Comrie. **

Hey! Rejoice Canuck fans! You can now be proud of the fact that Super Defenceman Eric Weinrich played the last game of his career with the Vancouver Canucks! And he f*****g sucked down the stretch didn't he? Bye bye. I guess he'll join the coaching staff of the Portland Pirates. **

**The Avalanche have resigned C Brett McLean to a 1-year contract. McLean (not related to Kirk) had 40 points in 82 games last season. He is an up and comer for sure!**

**It appears that former Penguins TV play-by-play announcer Mike Lange will still be in Pittsburgh. The Pens have hired him as their RADIO BROADCASTER. Lange seems happy with this. And now the fans can stop the petition for Lange! They'll have to edit Lange's voice over the new tv play-by-play dude's (Paul Steigerwald) voice for the highlights from now on!**
