PECA TO WEAR LEAF BLUE AND WHITE?

>It appears that the Leafs and Michael Peca are
close to getting a deal done. It was initially speculated
when free agency market opened that Peca wanted
to play 'closer to home.'
I would assume he will sign for a bit less than last
year, given the Leaf's salary cap position. Incentives will
probably be added to the deal.
I have always been a huge Peca fan, so this potential
signing is getting me excited. However, Peca's inconsistent
play in recent years prevents me from breaking out the
Spiced Rum and Coke. More to come...

The Leafs have also signed 3 defencemen today: Carlo
Colaiacovo, Brendan Bell, and Jay Harrison. Colaiacovo,
Toronto's first pick in the 2001 NHL entry
draft, accepted his $901,740 qualifying offer. Not
sure of what Bell and Harrison will be paid. With the Leaf's
defensive depth, Bell and Harrison will be fighting for
the final spot on D.

Decent signing for the Leafs I think. I've always liked him too, specially when he adds a lil scoring. Wonder where that leaves the Dark Knight now. Can't see them spending 5 mil per season for Carter/Peca.

Nope!
I get a funny feeling Carter may not get any offers from other teams. And we could see him sign for 2 mill or a bit more with the Nucks. (whatever their initial offer was.)
